The Certificate in Editing Studies will expose you to theories and practices of textual editing, transferable across academic, personal and professional contexts. You will become both a practitioner and critic of editing, enabling you to produce and innovate in varied and changing ecologies of writing. Individual courses in the program will support your academic and extracurricular writing as it prepares you for a career in editing, publishing, teaching, law and other fields. If you complete the program requirements for the certificate, you will be credentialed for a profession in which demand for editors is expected to go up annually. You may also opt to take a non-credit workshop for assembling your coursework in the program into a career-ready Editor Portfolio.
